Over 40 collectors took the last opportunity to have their works personally certified by Peter Robert Keil. They came from Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Leipzig, Kassel, Regensburg and Munich — many with the wish not only to receive a certificate, but also to meet the artist himself and exchange with him.
Remarkable this year was the exceptionally high quality of the submitted works, many of which date from the 1970s and 1980s. Equally impressive was the profound interest of visitors in Keil’s art and work: all guided tours through the Keil Collection Heidelberg were very well attended.
A particularly art-loving couple from Hamburg arrived as early as 10 in the morning, spontaneously joined a first tour and stayed for the afternoon tour, which Dr. Hoge led — as always — with great expertise and passion. Their enthusiasm was such that the two didn’t set off on the seven-hour journey home to Hamburg until 5 in the evening, enriched by many impressions and encounters.
At this point we would like to warmly thank all Keil fans who have made their way to Heidelberg over the years. Our special thanks go to Dr. Hoge, who not only accompanied the very first certifications, but time and again creates lasting impressions with her expertise and inspiring tours.
We also thank Mrs. and Mr. Keil, who — often after a long journey from Zimmerau — examined the works with great patience and warmth, shared memories and contributed valuable background stories about the paintings.
Looking ahead, we are very pleased to be able to announce that the second volume of the catalogue raisonné of Peter Robert Keil is expected to be published in the first quarter of 2026. Once the time comes, we will of course present the book on our homepage.
