Together with the artist Peter Robert Keil, the Keil-Collection Heidelberg is committed not only to documenting the works but also specifically to the permanent removal of “fake Keils” from the art market in order to appropriately honor and protect the complete artistic work of Peter Robert Keil:
The artist himself writes about this:
“Since 2013, the Keil Collection Heidelberg (Wilhelm Kampik and Stephan Teuber) has been working on a catalog of my works. As a result, entire collections have been certified. The certification process has laid the foundation for a more comprehensive initial work catalog.”
“My goal, with the support of the Keil Collection, is to finally provide clarity and identify the numerous dubious paintings that are offered on the art market as ‘real Keils’ and, if possible, to permanently remove them from the art trade.”
We would now like to ask you to get in touch with us for an appointment on these weekends – we will also remind you by email once again. We will reserve a time window for each collection, depending on its size. Peter Robert Keil will then evaluate your collection and certify the paintings that he identifies as his own works. The Keil Collection will then assign these paintings a catalog number, photograph them, and include them in the WVPRK (Work Catalog of Peter Robert Keil).
Certification includes:
- Individual analysis of each work by the artist in front of witnesses,
- Confirmation or possible rejection of the work,
- If positive, stamping of the work, including the signatures of the artist and witnesses,
- The assignment of a catalog number, and
- Inclusion of the work in the database of Peter Robert Keil’s Work Catalog (WVPRK).
Certainly, you’ll understand that we have to charge a processing fee of 80 € per work for this service (depending on time, personnel, and material costs). To provide you with a cost estimate, please inform us of the size of your collection.
With the work catalog, we create a list of works that Peter Robert Keil recognizes as his own. Thus, we are taking the first important step in identifying the core of Peter Robert Keil’s body of work. We thereby limit the circle of paintings that can convincingly claim authorship by Peter Robert Keil.
