An encounter with the works of Peter Robert Keil can by no means leave the viewer indifferent. Keil’s paintings challenge with their direct, impulsive technique, their spontaneity, and emotionality. For the two entrepreneurs Wilhelm Kampik and Stephan Teuber, the first encounter with this unbridled, colorful force was the reason for building an extensive collection, which now includes over 1,000 works from all creative phases.<\/p>\n\n

The personal enthusiasm for and about the new discovery then provided the impetus to engage intensively with this artist, to explore his background and life story, to support him, and to make his work accessible to a wider audience. Behind the Keil Collection, which is displayed in the Heidelberg corporate building of the two entrepreneurs with annually changing arrangements, lies the passion for their own collection and the idea of allowing others to share in it.<\/p>\n\n
